Things to Know
- Trainees will be paid $9.30 an hour for the work they complete, each workday will consist of a 30-minute lunch break.
- Trainees are asked to bring their own lunch each day and extra water.
- Cell phones and additional electronic devices are asked to be silenced during working hours.
- Training sites are treated like employment. Trainees are expected to attend each scheduled day, unless prior arrangements are made. If a trainee misses 2 days, they will have to speak with their counselor before being able to return to work site.
- Flip Flops and sandals are not appropriate footwear. Comfortable tennis shoes or boots are the only acceptable footwear for the Summer Youth Work experience.
- Trainees are not permitted to enter a work site until the Job Coach is with the Trainees. The earliest they can arrive to work site is 15mins.
