Farm Hand, assist with raise and care and feeding of animals, planting, making products, possibly assist in small repairs of buildings, barns, and work in the greenhouse! Jeans, shorts, tank top or t-shirts, garden gloves, flip flops and sneakers. 4 Students Monday - Thursday

Assist in the care and feeding of animals, maintenance of the grounds and visitor’s areas, other duties as assigned. Jeans or knee shorts, t-shirt (plain), sneakers 4 Students Monday - Thursday

Things to Know
  1. Trainees will be paid $9.30 an hour (current minimum wage) for the work they complete, each workday will consist of a 30-minute lunch break.
  2. Trainees are asked to bring their own lunch each day and extra water for outdoor locations.
  3. Cell phones and additional electronic devices are asked to be kept out of sight during working hours.
  4. Training sites are treated like employment. Trainees are expected to attend each scheduled day, unless prior arrangements are made. If a trainee misses 2 days they will have to speak with their counselor before being able to return to work site.
  5. Comfortable tennis shoes or boots are acceptable footwear for the Summer Youth Work Experience. Flip Flops and sandals are NOT appropriate footwear.
  6. Trainees are NOT permitted to enter a work site until the Job Coach is with the Trainee. The earliest the Trainee can arrive to the work site is 15 minutes before start time. Trainees should wait the arrival of the Job Coach before entering site.
  7. Our goal is to have a fun and safe productive summer wherein learning basic work skills is not a chore, but a unique adventure!
