Life Skills
Individuals in the Life Skills Training Program will be trained in essential skills that are needed to live independently. Including money management, transportation, work readiness, and knowledge of community resources.
Community Based Assessment
A CBA is a short-term job try-out with the goal of discovering an individual's vocational strengths, along with what kind of job is best suited for that individual.
Work Adjustment
A WA utilizes an actual work environment to assist individuals in learning or reestablishing skills, attitudes and personal characteristics and work behaviors needed to maintain employment.
Job Seeking Skills Training
Individuals receive skilled training on how to obtain and network for a job, comprehensive professional resume composition, training in job applications and interviews, mock interviews, and job-related problem solving.
Job Coaching
Trainee works one on one with a Job Coach who will provide job related and interpersonal skills training to successfully complete job tasks.
Job Placement Services
Goodwill staff provide assistance in job search and finding employment learning or reestablishing skills, attitudes and personal characteristics including interviewing, filling out applications and putting together resumes and work behaviors needed to maintain employment. Once a position is secured, Goodwill will assist the individual in the hiring process and follow up with the individual for a minimum of 90 days to assure employment success.
